[texts]Large archaeohyracids (Typotheria, Notoungulata) from central Chile and Patagonia : including a revision of Archaeotypotherium (Volume Fieldiana, Geology, new series, no. 49) - Croft, Darin A
The Tinguiririca Fauna of the Andean Main Range of central Chile is remarkable for its abundant and diverse archaeohyracids. This study recognizes four relatively large-bodied species from the Tinguiririca Fauna, two of which are new. Together with two previously described small-bodied forms, the total of six species makes the archaeohyracid assemblage from Tinguiririca the most diverse known, representing the co-occurrence of at least 40% of all archaeohyracid species in a single fauna...

[texts]Protoptychus hatcheri Scott, 1895 : the mammalian faunas of the Washakie Formation, Eocene age, of southern Wyoming (Volume Fieldiana, Geology, new series, no. 21) - Turnbull, William D
This report was originally intended for the festschrift honoring Philip Hershkovitz (Patterson & Timm, 1987). I was unable to complete it in time for inclusion in that volume and subsequent events have caused further delays. It deals with a highly specialized Eocene rodent that is of particular interest paleontologically, anatomically, and ecologically. Intriguing, partially unresolved, phylogenetic considerations concerning its relationships are discussed...

[texts]Revised phylogeny and functional interpretation of the Edrioasteroidea based on new taxa from the Early and Middle Ordovician of western Utah (Volume Fieldiana, Geology, new series, no. 29) - Guensburg, Thomas Edgar
Five new edrioasteroid genera from the Early and Middle Ordovician of western Utah greatly enlarge the record of this scarce echinoderm class during its early diversification. Data from a diversity of taxa were used to generate a new phylogeny and classification of the edrioasteroids. New and reinterpreted morphology, particularly for the aboral surface, is introduced. Forty-two characters were scored for 15 taxa and subjected to a PAUP 3.0 parsimony analysis...
